End-of-Life Transition Grief Counselling
“Living is really hard when doctors are telling you that you are dying.’ That was the answer one of my clients gave me when asked how life is right now.”—Maryam
Nurturing Support
Bereavement requires time and support. Grief, loss and end-of-life transition affects people in many different ways, and there is no right or wrong way to feel. At Village Grief Counselling, I will provide you with the tools essential supporting you through processing the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual symptoms of loss.
Peaceful Transitions
End-of-life transition is difficult for the person dying, as well as the people they are surrounded by. Regardless of the emotional state, you are currently processing, whether sorrow, anger, fear or acceptance, your time with me is a time to explore your emotions in a completely safe, judgement-free zone. You will explore what these emotions mean at this particular time in your life, how they are affecting you, and together with me, you will find life in facing death—giving you choices in a seemingly choiceless situation.
Creating Community Where it is Needed
I believe in the power of community when facing some of life’s most trying moments and challenges. At Village Grief Counselling, I will help you in the process of creating a community of support around you and your loved ones. Whether your loved one is in the hospital, in your home or a hospice, I am happy to provide counselling sessions wherever your family feels most comfortable and most at ease; creating a private, warm and welcoming environment. This is essential in creating a space that is full of love and support, giving the person facing transition and their family the strength to process the emotions, surrounding the loss in a healthy way.
